It's beyond sad. Unemployment rises from 8.1% to 8.2%. The number of new jobs created just half of what would be necessary to keep up with population growth. Underemployment went from 14.5% to 14.8%.

The unemployment rate went down again, to 8.1% from 8.2%, but it had nothing to do with their being more jobs. Only a net of 115,000 jobs were had, not enough to keep up with increasing population. The drop in unemployment was "entirely due to a drop in the size of the labor force."
